Our priorities
NHS West Sussex is the local leader of the NHS and our primary aim is to enable the people of West Sussex to improve their health and wellbeing.
Strategic commissioning plan
Our plans for health services for the future
In 2009, NHS West Sussex drew up an ambitious five-year plan to transform local health services in West Sussex.
The Strategic Commissioning Plan (SCP) sets out our 12 strategic goals up until 2014 and how we plan to achieve them.
We have based the goals on the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) and feedback from stakeholders. The Joint Strategic Needs Assessment is how Primary Care Trusts and local authorities describe the future health and wellbeing of local populations and outline a strategy to meet those needs.
