Plans to reform the NHS: the NHS White Paper
The Government published its plans to reform the NHS in its July 2010 White Paper Equity and Excellence: Liberating the NHS.
After three months of consultation, the Government published its response: Liberating the NHS: Legislative framework and next steps.
The response:
- describes how the Government has developed its plans in light of consultation
- gives further detail on the NHS reforms
- shares the timetable for implementation.
The document also explains how the consultation has shaped the Health and Social Care Bill, presented to Parliament on 19 January 2011.
